PROJECT
We were engaged by Eurofins to build their new testing laboratory on a 16,000 Sq m site in Dandenong South, Victoria. Built within an existing warehouse, the new services infrastructure consisted of 5,000 Sq m of laboratory and office space with the facility accommodating approximately 200 staff.
DETAILS
Some of the construction highlights included: a new 2000 Sq m post-tensioned mezzanine for future laboratory expansion, the installation of 12 AHU’s, chiller, compressed-air, vacuum system, RO water system, laboratory gas bulk storage and reticulation throughout the laboratory to equipment user points – gases included oxygen, argon, helium, nitrogen and hydrogen. There was also 23 fume cupboards and associated support services installed, along with HEPA filtered air to service microbiological laboratory.
Other installations included a power upgrade and backup generator, four cool rooms to support the laboratory operations, a new trade waste system and carpark extension to allow for off-street parking for staff.
