As part of Transgrid’s $2bn EnergyConnect project tying in SA into NSW and VIC energy grid, GRC were engaged to complete 2 synchronous condenser enclosures at Dinawan and Buronga. These buildings included a 130 tonne capacity gantry crane which ran the length of the building. The synchronous condensers help stabilise renewable power being fed back into the grid to maximise energy efficiency.
