CLIENT: Selandra Rise Shopping Centre

PROJECT
George Rydell were engaged to construct stage 2 of the Selandra rise shopping centre in Clyde North. The original Woolworth’s Shopping Centre was also completed by George Rydell in 2016.
The stage 2 mixed-use development consists of eight retail/food tenancies on the ground floor, complete with all services required for food tenants and extra parking required for the new shops, as well as and two larger office spaces on Level 1.
DETAILS
Externally the building is clad with a mixture of solid aluminium and CFC sheet and utilises a cantilevered canopy that extends around the whole building on both levels. All ground floor shops have dual automatic door entry to maximise the accessibility for the public. We also extended the asphalt carpark to the south west corner of the site including all services, trolley bays etc.
Internally the building is served with an open tread timber staircase and a high quality Schindler Lift. High quality staff amenities have also been provided also adjacent to the ground floor lobby.
The feature barrel vault was a challenge to construct and it is a striking signature of the building which has been completed to the highest standard.
